Paris Je t'aime..

Created this sketchbook complete with Eiffel Tower bookmark!
So excited to use it when I go to Paris for my Birthday!

It's made from assorted paper, card, ribbon and string, all of which I collected. and the spine is simply done with double sided tape.
It's not quite finished as I'm going to add a wooden ruler to the spine to make the binding a little more secure. Attaching the ruler with small bolts will also add to the 'found objects' rustic theme.

Pop

A gift for a friend's birthday.

He likes modern, graffitti-esc artists such as Dan Baldwin so I decided to create this pop-arty skull that I was inspired to make after visiting the new Damien Hirst exhibition.
I poured the paint, similar to Dan Baldwin's paintings and used bright gloss colours, reminiscent of Pop Art.

Summer Sun... ????

'Bulldog'
For back of calf.
Thinking of maybe a bigger bow? In a more vibrant purple/pink?
Also working on an idea for the other calf. Same thing with the roses as a boarder but not sure of what I want in centre.

'4Times'
Quick line drawing from a collage.

'Old School Roses'
'Old School' meets 'New School'.
Couple of roses someone wanted me specifically to draw up for them.

'Ships and Ribbon'
I really love it when someone has an original idea they want me to draw up.
The ship and the ribbon are both metaphors for something personal that the girl wanted to potray and I think they have turned out beautiful.

'Happy Accident'
I drew the pheonix first and then the  image on the back. When I sealed the drawing on the back it showed up through the page but I think it looks awesome and kinda ghostly.

Above are my favourite Logo designs.
Found the crab image in one of my previous collages and thought it would make a cool motif.

Father's Day

As I am trying to save money, decided to make something instead of buy something for Father's day.
Came up with this caricature of my Dad  (who is a Dental Technician) and his business Partner Lee for their Lab.

'Haywood Oaks, Dental Technicians'
Acrylic and Watercolour on A1 Canvas.

aaaand... this is Dad. Hopefully you can tell which caricature is supposed to be him!
